Often times I am asked “How did you get into the rubber& plastic business?” Well, this is the story of how the JL RubberFlooring came to be.
Time goes back to 1997, when my wife and I ran a car decoration&beauty shop. What did I do before that? Well, you may not believe it, but I used to be a bus driver and a cook.Ok, let’s get back to the point. When I was decorating the car, I came into contact with all kinds of used tires every day, but I never thought they could be made into rubber particles. Until one day, a customer looked at a mountain of used tires in our backyard and asked me, "Why not reuse these abandoned treasures? My friend's factory recycles waste tires and makes them into particles, and there is a lot of demand for school playgrounds and artificial grass football fields. "
I still remember how I felt at that time. His words were like a beam of light, illuminating the door of a new world for me. Yes, why not? I work hard enough, we have a certain amount of capital, and I can make full use of my channels. When I told my wife what I thought, she didn't object, but told me, "either we don't do it, or we have to do it best." Her words has also become our guideline until now.
In 1999, my wife and I officially registered our company. With the support of our wife, we decided to name our brand, JL Rubber Granule., after the abbreviation of my name Jack Luo. In the Chinese context, JL can also be interpreted as JianLi, symbolizing health and vitality. This is not only our inherent expectation of the product, but also the goal we strive for.
Over the next five years, my wife and I began to devote all our attention to the enterprise. We learn the production process in our friends' factories, investigate the market situation through the Internet during the daytime, and research & development with the workers at night. In the busiest times, we only get 3-4 hours of sleep a day. But the efforts paid off in the end, from SBR black granules to TPE colorful particles and EPDM premium filled particles, we built a complete product line and began to play an important role in government sports center projects.
In 2005, fitness centers began to rise in China, and national fitness has gradually become a trend. Considering the population size and demand potential of China's younger generation, we decided to contribute to the national health.
Safety and environmental protection have always been the business philosophy and guidelines of JLRubber. But the original fitness center lacked protection for equipment and fitness enthusiasts. Wood flooring and even concrete floor is the most common choice, which undoubtedly accelerates the loss of equipment and poses a great threat to people's safety. We see an opportunity to improve the situation.
I would like to thank my Australian client, Allen, for his help in quickly entering this familiar and unfamiliar industry. During a visit to our factory, as a fitness enthusiast, he talked to me about the possibility and feasibility of producing rubber floor materials, and we hit it off. Under his guidance, they imported the most advanced production lines and hired senior technicians to stay in the factory for a long time.In early 2006, we finally launched our own series of floor mats-JL RubberFlooring.
Market demand is changing rapidly, and technology innovation is happening all the time. As the first batch of rubber floor materials manufacturers in China, we always adhere to innovation and iteration to benefit customers through scientific management and process optimization. In recent years, price competition has become increasingly fierce, but we refuse to sacrifice quality in exchange for more competitive prices. On the contrary, we choose to improve our competitiveness by improving raw materials and introducing the latest equipment, providing only the best and safest products for the market.
In 2020, the world fell into the unexpected disaster of novel corona-virus pandemic, and human health and development were seriously threatened. But the thing is what it is. Sometimes, people makes the bad situation worse by worrying about future and fretting over past. In this difficult time, JL RubberFlooring also met with order-cancellation and factory lock-down. But we chose to try the best to transfer the disaster into a lucky development. In April, we issued the evolved TPE Laminated Rubber Tile and in May we launched the TPE Composite Rubber rolls. These two new products greatly improve the performance of the original products, further complement our product line, and will bring a more comfortable and secure experience for the market and users.
The pandemic will pass sooner or later and JL RubberFlooing is always there for you.
