Among the best qualities of rubber flooring is that it is extremely durable and low maintenance.

One of the best features of rubber flooring is that it is extremely durable and low-cost for maintenance. Most liquids do not contaminate or damage the surface, and because of their resilience and difficulty in bending, physical contact is relatively difficult to cause serious damage. Rubber floor also has fire-resistant and flame-retardant properties and in the meantime, it is not easy to mildew. The soil and debris that occasionally fall on the surface of rubber tiles are easy to sweep.

For this reason, rubber tiles are widely used in a variety of challenging locations, including kitchens, bathrooms, hospitals, playgrounds and gyms.

However, there are some basic cleaning and maintenance steps that need to be followed regularly to disinfect the floor while maintaining the best appearance of the floor.

Notice before start cleaning

The most common maintenance problems for rubber floors are dirt and small debris, which are trekked by shoes and boots, or blown in by wind from windows and air ducts.

The carpet at the entrance and exit of each room can help absorb some dust, but the dirt is abrasive, and if not removed, the floor finish may wear out over time.

Cleaning up these debris is as simple as cleaning or vacuuming on a regular basis (daily or weekly, depending on the flow of people in the area).

Please note that if your rubber floor is installed with adhesive, you should not clean it in any way for at least 72 hours after installation to allow time for the adhesive to be firmly fixed.

After three days, the installation can be considered complete and the floor can be processed normally.

Instructions

If you have an ugly stain on your rubber floor, you can wash it directly with a mop without worrying about damaging the material.

But you need to make sure that any detergent you use is not acidic or acetone-based and does not contain turpentine.

Because these substances will stain the rubber floor, causing permanent and irreparable damage.

Permanent Rubber rolls/ Sheet

It is recommended to develop two different cleaning routines for your rubber floor; a daily or weekly routine and a periodic routine.

Daily/ Weekly: Regularly vacuuming the rubber floor will help remove dust and debris from the surface.
You can vacuum rubber floors at home once a week, but rubber floors in gyms and commercial area should be vacuumed every day.

These floors should also be scrubbed daily or weekly, depending on the amount of walk traffic they experience.
It is vital to mix the right amount of water with mild detergents and to avoid irritating chemicals that may cause rubber corrosion. The water should be changed frequently and you also need to avoid using sanding machines.

Periodically: At least once every month or two, it is beneficial to clean the rubber floor with a wet vacuum cleaner.

Starting with mopping the floor, let the cleaning fluid sit on the floor for about 10 minutes.

Then clean the floor with a wet vacuum cleaner.

Make sure the water in the wet vacuum cleaner uses a mild detergent and always uses the softest brush.

Rubber Tiles/ Floor /Mats

Rubber floors that consist of tiles or floor mats should be vacuumed and washed regularly like permanent rubber flooring.  You should also swap rubber tiles in high traffic areas with those in low traffic areas from time to time to prevent the high traffic areas from wearing out faster.

Daily/Weekly: Vacuum the rubber tiles on a middle-range setting daily or weekly depending on the flew of people. You should also use the hose accessories to vacuum between the tiles.  Do not mop rubber flooring tiles, they should be washed individually by hand. Use water and mild detergent solutions and try not to use too much detergent on the floor.

Wet vacuum cleaners and other machines should not be used on rubber floor tiles.rubber floor tiles.
